Personal Best times

When you record your personal best times it is important you keep your long course (50m) and short course (25m) times separate. You can't compare the two as swimming long course is vastly different to swimming short course. Some of you at Counties were disappointed that you hadn't beat your short course time when swimming long course. Grant Hackett from Australia the best distance freestyler over the last decade had a long course pb for 1500m of 14.34.56 (World Record) and a short course pb of 14.10.10 (World Record) a difference of 24 seconds. For the second weekend of the County Championships we did a better job at aiming to beat your long course times if you have some already. If not then the times you achieve will become your long course best times and the next time you compete long course you should aim to beat these times.
